    Arab-American Friends of Nazareth

    Dear Members and Friends,

I want to thank the board members for the vote of confidence, and take this opportunity to thank all of you for the overwhelming support last July after the tragic car accident that took the life of my beloved husband Said. On behalf of my children James and Jasmine and both the Saadi and the Fahoum families, thank you again.
The best way to pay back your love and support is to serve you and work with you as your new president. Before I start writing the agenda for this year, I would like to thank our former presidents, Dr. Nabil Azzam who worked tirelessly on getting our organization formed and with his dedication, “The Friends of Nazareth” has a non-profit organization status and Dr. Nabil Khoury for laying out a very solid foundation full with love, harmony and trust. On behalf of the members I would also like to thank Dr. Khoury for providing us with his facility for our meetings.
As a new elected president equipped with compassion, vision, dreams, and the love for the old country (which we call back home or el’blad) I would like to implement the old goals and set new ones. I believe that with your cooperation and support we will prevail.

Starting with our old goals, we still have the following that needs to be implemented:

    1. Get our organization’s directory completed by June of 2007.
    2. Have a membership drive.
    3. Organize two events a year to raise money.
    4. Expand and reach out to our youth.
    5. Publish a quarterly Newsletter.

I am looking forward to working with all of you. Your input is greatly appreciated.

                                                                               Sincerely,
                                                                               Abla Fahoum El-Saadi, President
